What are Cookies?
Your Internet browser has a feature called "cookies" which store small amounts of data on your computer about your visit to The Credit Union.

Cookies identify your computer so we know whether you are a visitor, member or subscriber, and consequently give you appropriate access. Please turn your cookies ON when you visit our site as active participation in certain areas requires cookies, such as when you sign-up or login.

The cookie we use cannot be read or accessed by anyone other than The Credit Union.

Our cookies cannot be used in a malicious or destructive manner because all the data within the cookies is encrypted twice. The WAT product performs a first level Encryption, masking the data contained within the file. A second level encryption takes place within the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) software.

If you use the End Session link within the WAT product when you complete your credit union business the cookies are automatically removed from your hard drive. If you end the WAT session in any other way (perharps by closing the browser window entirely, or jumping to a new Internet address from within WAT product), the cookies with remain on your hard drive. Even if the cookies are left on your hard drive, they will expire so that this informaion can never be used in a malicious manner. The next time you log into WAT the cookies from previous session are immediately deleted by the WAT product and replaced by new cookies for the current session.
